Exhibition reflection

I think that I did not do to well in this exhibition. Because I did not talk to a lot of people. The only problem that we had in exhibition was answering some questions. Not that much people came up to us. I think that because of the placement of the tables. Since our table was at the front of the classroom the people just walked right passed us. The interaction that we had the most problems with was during the end of exhibition. One of the people that came up to us to ask a question kept answering us with more and more questions. We tried to answer his questions but we could not. Next time when I have exhibition I would study the material more. Also I would interact with the people more. Over all I think that I did not do to good on my first exhibition.

Persepoils reflection

Persepolis
I think that years ago Iran use to be a very nice place. But then it became a decadent nation the morals of that country just decayed away. Soon the people of that country turned into martyrs the government thought that went their own people became martyrs they thought that was veritable. Their people had to become martyrs because if they did not become martyrs they would be killed. Their government betrayed them they use to have a very secular government. But along the years the government began to embargo their own people having some of the people become more clandestine just to get a good drink. The government even tried to make all of their people proletariats because some people of their people were making more money than others.
In one part of the book Persepolis her father had to have a reservoir of wine so that him and his friends and family would not have to be clandestine to get a drink of wine. Marji had a good life in the beginning of the book but as the book went on you could see the changes that Iran was making for example in a part of the book the government was making the people wear the vial. Then soon the woman had to cover up their whole body. If the woman did not cover up their body they would get beat up it almost happened to Marji and her family. Just because they were standing up for their rights with a non-violence protest but things became more violent when the martyrs started to beat up the people with sticks and stabbed some people. But if it were not for that stuff Marji would have never became more rebel like but I think that that rebel was always inside of her and came out when her government became decadent. Her government is still decadent and is still decaying.
Marji even had to go through bombings every time there was a bombing she had to go to the basement with her family to survive the bombings. That happened after she came back from her vacation from Spain before they went to Spain what happened was her uncle was killed by the government of Iran. That made Marji very angry so angry that she even yelled at God. I thought at that part she did not believe in God any more. After that part of the book God is no longer in the book except for the parts were the Martyrs talk about him and think that when ever some one is hurt or dieing that God will be able to save that person.
I think that when she was in Vienna that she was thinking about her government and what became of her family. She really did have a great life when she wrote this book her life started out great the people had way more freedom then they have now. Before in the beginning they could wear what ever they wanted. But as the book goes on you can see the changes like in the book called the lord of the flies when the book goes on the kids become more like natives. But in this book the people are forced to obey the rules that are very strict. Because of that the people had to become clandestine. But at the end of the book Marji parents sent her to a different country to escape the government. So now Marji is very far away from her family for safety.

Book club

Todays book club was awkward today. I do not want to name people in my group that were a little bit weird in book club. But in the end of book club one of the group members said that he was god. In my book club some of us were being loud. So loud that some of the kids in the class herd what my book club was talking about. In the end I think that we should be more on topic.

seminar reflection

I think that in todays seminar went pretty well. It is just that I did not talk that much in todays seminar. I think that if I could redo the seminar I would talk more and talk at all. Maybe another time then I will talk. One of the reasons why I did not talk that much in todays seminar was because I was waiting for other people to talk. I did not want to interrupt them in the middle of their conversations.

Vocabulary test number seven

I think that the two quotes that Shanelle were very poetic and I understand that Obama is a very progressive person. He is not a conservative person he does not look for the traditional way. He is always looking for change. So that makes him a Liberal person that does not look for change. He also appeals to the young people that are looking for suffrage. He is also incumbent and maybe he might have a more higher position. But poems will not help the United stated states. You need to have solutions to problems not poems. I am not looking for a evangelical president I just want a president that does not solve problems with poems and not a president that veto's everything that denies everything. I want to have a good president.

presidential debate

I thought that the debate that we had in class before was a good debate. But I think that I could have done better that what I did in that debate. I feel like I avoided some of the question that were asked to me. Even if only two questions were asked to me. But I did have a lot of notes that I took from all of the web sites that I went on. But the guy that I was studying on did not have a lot to say about stem cell research. All he said was just one paragraph on the topic and that paragraph did not even have a plan to help out stem cell research. All he did was blame the government. That the government was slowing down stem cell research. He also said that stem cell research was a great advansment in science. That was really all he said on the topic. That is why I think that I did not do that well in the debate.
